What is a blog?

A blog is a regularly updated, dynamic website. A blog can serve one of two purposes; either to grow a business by sharing information or focusing on an individual subject by being an online journal.

There are many kinds of blogs, from personal journals to political campaigns. A blog can focus on a niche or cover a wide range of topics.

Some common characteristics of a blog:

  • Posts are shown in a reverse chronological order, where the newest ones are placed on top
  • A sidebar next to the main content that features related posts

Difference between a blog and a website
